Materials

- Parchment paper
- Sharp Knife
9″, $34
Long-Handled Wooden Spoons (My FAV)
12″, $20
12″, $82
Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounces) package of cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 cups Confectionaries Powdered or Icing sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 15 ounces white chocolate or white chocolate chips, chopped or chips
- Oreo cookies, broken into chunks
Optional Ingredients
- Ground candy cane dust and chunks
- Skor bar pieces or butter toffee
- Peanut Butter
- Candied Pecans
- Smarties or M&M’s
Directions
- Line a baking dish or pan with parchment paper. I like the thickness of the fudge from a 9″ pan. Set the prepared pan aside.
- Begin by combining your cream cheese and icing sugar in a large bowl and mixing it until it becomes smooth.
- In a separate glass bowl, melt white chocolate chips by using the microwave for 1.5 minutes on high or placing the glass bowl over a boiling pot of water until the chocolate is melted.
- Combine the chocolate in with the icing sugar and cream cheese mixture.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Fold the chunks of Oreo cookies into the mixture but be sure to save enough for the top of the fudge. Make sure to not over mix during this step. You don’t want to lose the bright white of the chocolate mixture.
- Spread the mixture into the parchment-lined, prepared baking pan and add the remaining Oreos on top of the fudge.
- Sprinkle candy cane dust and chunks or other toppings on the top if desired, then pop the baking sheet into the freezer for 1 hour or fridge for 4 hours.
- Cut into squares or small pieces (or large pieces, ha!) using a sharp knife and serve. YUM!!
Tips and Tricks for Making Oreo Fudge
- Make sure to not over-mix the oreo cookies into the chocolate mixture. This will cause it to lose its bright white appearance.
- If you are adding candy canes to the top, crush them inside a small paper or plastic bag! This way you don’t end up with a mess of candy canes everywhere.
Storing Oreo Fudge
Oreo fudge can be left at room temperature for an evening or event, however, it will keep for up to a week in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. You can also freeze oreo fudge in the freezer in an airtight container or appropriate ziplock bag for up to three months.
Oreo fudge can be made with the three simple ingredients used to make traditional fudge which are chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and Oreos. This recipe uses cream cheese which gives a slightly creamy texture and flavor to the fudge. It is a delicious combination of crunchy cookies and creamy chocolate.
The temperature of the ingredients plays a key role when making fudge. For this recipe, the cream cheese needs to be at room temperature so that it can be completely mixed into the icing sugar to make a smooth consistency and not have any clumps. Once it is refrigerated, it will become smooth and firm but still be easily cut through.
