Homemade butter toffee is so easy to make and perfect any time of the year. This easy 6-ingredient recipe uses rich butter, white sugar, kosher salt, sweet chocolate and delicious almonds.
Ingredients
– 2 cups unsalted butter, cubed and at room temperature.– 2 cups granulated white sugar.– 1 teaspoon table salt.– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.– 1 cup whole unsalted, uncooked almonds finely chopped.– Sea salt for sprinkling on top.
Step 1
Combine the butter, sugar and salt. Continue stirring the mixture until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
Step 2
Stir continuously, allowing the mixture to come to a boil, and cook until the mixture becomes a dark amber color, and the temperature has reached 285 to 300 F
Step 3
Pour onto parchment lined baking tray and add chocolate chips to the top. Spread the melted chocolate over the toffee and add almonds and salt.
Step 4
Using a sharp knife, break apart the toffee into pieces. Serve and ENJOY!
